One Day Mekong River Cruise

If you arriving from Thailand, you will meet our team from 7:30 AM at the Chiang Khong immigration office (Thai border). We will help you cross the bridge on board of the mandatory shuttle bus and assist you with your Visa application for a hassle-free start to your journey. Once your visa is processed, enjoy a comfortable ride in a shared minivan to the slow boat pier for boarding. If you are already in Houay Xay, our shuttle will pick you up directly from your hotel between 09:00 AM and 09:30 AM and take you to the boat pier. While cruising the Mekong our guide will present an engaging quick lecture on Laos’ Do’s and Don’ts along with fascinating fun facts. Afterwards, you will savor a delightful traditional Lao lunch served on board as you enjoy the scenic journey. Before reaching Pakbeng, we’ll visit the charming Kamu village of Ban Kang Lae, where you can experience the authentic rural lifestyle of a remote community. Our company proudly supports this village with regular donations. The boat will arrive in Pakbeng by evening, where you can relax and overnight at your hotel, ready for more exploration.

Following that, we’ll visit the Pak Ou Caves, known as Tham Ting, which are home to over 2,000 thousand Buddha statues. This sacred site is a significant pilgrimage location for Lao people. After exploring the caves, you’ll get to enjoy some homemade desserts and refreshing drinks prepared by our team.
